The TO DO LIST and The TO BE LIST)))> —long
For years I have written out a TO DO list to help me keep on top of the things I need to do the next day…Sometimes I get all done… Usually not though….I used to stress, get frustrated, get unfocused, distracted, etc.
I’m certainly not perfect at it…But, I’ve become much more productive since i’ve been keeping my TO BE list.
The reason we make a list is so that we get everything out of our head..so we don’t forget things..so we can remember. It’s sounds odd to say… but there have certainly been times where I have gotten so busy and focus on my TO DO’s.. That I forgot WHO I AM…and WHO I WANT TO BE IN THE WORLD. So bus – so pulled in so many directions.-so stressed that I just forgot!
You would think after 36 years I’d know… but the fact is :
1. Who you are and who i am is constantly evolving.Y
2. You attention is being pulled in a thousand different directions every day… billions are spent every year by companies who want you to buy their products.
3 Those companies value your attention more than you value your own.
We often get so lost in our doing that we become the doing***… when you ask someone..”tell me about your self” they will 99% of the time tell you what they DO—While DOING and BEING are certainly related— They must not be confused as the same thing.
Let what you DO for a living..and let what you do with your spare time..and what you do for fun…. come as a result of your BEING. Not the other way around…most get hat confused. They think they have to BE a certain way because what they DO—a doctor – a lawyer- a mom- a dad- business man. Those are things you do… Dont’ label your self and don’t get locked in to any one form.. you are evolving and growing right now..this second! Bring all of who you are in to what you DO/– Don’t let the task and the little to do’s on your list lock you in to a certain way of being inside of some mental image of should do or supposed to do.
THIS MAY HELP:
Its easy to get caught up..and again..it can be easy to forget when we’re all so busy. I have listed BELOW my TO BE LIST for example—HAPPY. You may say… Why the hell do you need to remind yourself to be happy??? Well…we could write a book on that. But I’lll say this… Everyone I have ever met..at some point needs the reminder HEY- you are supposed to be happy- HEY, you are special- HEY you are loved- HEY, you are amazing!!. HEY,Its time to get back to fucking work!!! SO HEY, BE productive! BE a Giver, not taker. BE a LOVER. BE NICE. BE KIND. BE someone who stands up for herself….Don’t start fights, BUT don’t back down. It’s OK to BE scared, But you must Act in-spite of it…You must BE courageous. etc…etc…
So who are you? Who do you aspire to BE? What human BEINGS have inspired you the most?? What about how they were BEING that inspires you???
Not sure what to do with your life??? Well- most people don’t know either… NO ONE HAS IT ALL FIGURED OUT. — In my opinion… It doesn’t really matter. Not when you compare that to BEING who you where designed to BE. You BE that person. You BE your BEST. You BE your BEST SELF EVERY SINGLE FREAKING DAY…and I guarantee, you will have more options available to you then you know what to do with. You will be able to pick and choose what you want to do. Then..do all of them.. and through that action… you will find what you are meant to do… because you will Be who you are made to be..
If I had a shoe company…it would be “just BE it”.

BE GROUNDED- CENTERED- IN YOUR BODY
BE A GOOD LISTENER
Make a list 5-10 that are ideal… post it by your bed … or better yet…write it everyday… its worth the 2 minutes.
